Quick and dirty children’s story illustrations

For church on Sunday I did a set of illustrations for a story a friend has written. It is a story about the “invisible” elephant. The narrator tells the story without ever mentioning the elephant even though he is more or less obviously present in all the pictures, helping the other animals on their journey. It is of course a metaphor for God and his invisible presence in our lifes.

Swiss Style Smurf

Recently I did a quick art test for the games company I currently work for to find out whether I could draw a customised Smurf in the style of Peyo. Here’s the result. The line work doesn’t come near the masterful inking of the original, but it’s the best I could do on my digital drawing board.
